Practice Tip of the Week
Musical Flash Cards: Punch a hole in the corner of 3X5 index cards and have your teacher draw a note or musical symbol on each card. Keep them in your notebook and every week, add a new one if you can identify the old ones.
Christmas Concert December 17th
Tuesday December 17th we will have our Annual Christmas Concert in the Sanctuary. Please wear either your favorite Christmas outfit OR your Suzuki Polo shirt and black pants/skirt. Please arrive by 5:30pm to tune and get placed. We will have a reception following the concert, Suzuki School will provide paper products and the famous Suzuki punch. Please bring your favorite Christmas finger food to share for our reception.
Quilt Raffle
This year Jan Brown graciously donated another hand-crafted quilt for us to raffle. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The drawing will be at our Christmas Concert on Tuesday December 17th in the St Luke’s Sanctuary.
Barnes and Noble Bookfair and performances- December 21st
We invite you to shop at Barnes and Noble December 21st in order to help fundraise for Suzuki School. We have papers with our school code on them that you present at the register. It’s an easy way to take care of your Christmas shopping and help our school!
Group Performance 2pm in the front part of the store. Please arrive at 1:30pm to tune
Dress for the performance: Red Suzuki Polo and Black Pants
We need older students to help with Gift Wrapping, and showing instruments at the “instrument petting zoo”.
We will also have opportunities for students to play their solos, duets, trios, and Christmas music all day at Barnes and Noble on the 21st!
Now you can pre order Cheesecake Factory Cheesecakes, Barnes and Noble Teas, Chocolates and other gift items. Just fill out a Form and email it back to hickorysuzukischool@gmail.com by Sunday December 15th at 8pm. Orders can be picked up at Barnes and Noble December 21st-24th.
