NOTES FOR THE WEEK   

May 18-23, 2008

  Summer registrations were due May 9th, so please be sure they are turned in to your teacher this week.   For anyone who missed the deadline, please bring them to your end of year recital on Sunday and give them to your teacher or Nan.

This week is make-up week.  Please contact your teacher if you need to schedule a make-up lesson.

END OF THE YEAR RECITALS - SUNDAY,  MAY 18th 

2:00 Guitars & Flutes in the Sanctuary                                                                                       3:00 & 6:30 Pianos in the Sanctuary                                                                                          4:30 Violins, Violas, and Celli in the Family Life Center    

Wear your Suzuki Polo Shirt and black pants or skirt.   Please plan to come 30 minutes early to tune and get settled.  Piano students also need to arrive early to get seated in playing order.  For these recitals we will not have receptions.  Pieces for each instrument are listed below.  Please review these pieces lots!  

 VIRGINIA SUZUKI INSTITUTE* -Openings for flutes, guitars, pianos, violas and a few violins.  We still have a little scholarship money for deserving students who would like to come to the institute and need a little extra help to make it happen.  It is going to be a great week and we look forward to seeing lots of our home students there.   Guitar, Piano, Cello, Viola, and Violin in the Suzuki camp, and Violins book 3 and up in the fiddle camp.  

 Students at Suzuki School of the Arts will be eligible for a special scholarship for the institute this summer.  Just fill out the scholarship form and turn it in with your application.
